New Integrations
The adoption of the cloud-based ERP system IFS was the main reason SPIE extensively explored Boomi's possibilities. The transition to IFS resulted from SPIE's desire to strengthen its market position and be better prepared for future activities and challenges.
"With the arrival of IFS, a completely new way of integrating came our way. We had to replace many old applications and implement new ones with the new ERP system. This means dealing with a lot of data exchange," says Ad. "SPIE has been developing and growing a lot in recent years. Because IT solutions are constantly changing at a rapid pace, it is essential to respond quickly, especially for a large and internationally oriented company like ours."
Integrating an ERP system into a diverse application landscape is often a significant challenge. It is crucial to connect an ERP with other systems and cloud solutions, as it contains a lot of relevant data that applications and other system components also utilize.
"We quickly noticed that Boomi makes it much easier to let different applications and systems 'talk' to each other. Because Boomi facilitates communication between applications and other IT solutions, we can quickly deliver good solutions."
Productive Collaboration
To make Boomi and the revamped IT infrastructure a success, SPIE sought good advice and expertise. "Emixa turned out to be a good match.
