De Koninklijke Roeiers Vereeniging Eendracht (KRVE) went live with their KIS application this week. This application covers their entire core system, including the planning of all ships visiting the port of Rotterdam, whether moored or detached from the quay, invoicing, personnel administration, maintenance, etc. We were present at a suitable distance to congratulate them on this milestone!

About KRVE The main activities of KRVE involve mooring and unmooring seagoing vessels under all weather conditions, at various mooring locations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, throughout the year. This involves a lot of complexity, and KIS greatly assists them. It allows them to see exactly which ships are coming in, to which berths they are going, and to which bollards they need to be moored. Adhering to the safety standards is of utmost importance, especially when dealing with some of the largest ships in the world, such as massive container ships and cruise liners.

Martin van Es, IT Director KRVE, said, "We are extremely proud of the launch of our KIS application. Now that we have our core systems running in Mendix, this provides the opportunity for rapid innovation towards the future. Emixa helped us get started by laying the foundation together with our internal developers and contributing to the solution architecture and UX. Despite doing the majority of the development in-house, we could always rely on the support and expertise of Emixa."
